An American-style liberal arts curriculum is making inroads into some major European universities. Recognized for a multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving and for a type of mental agility highly valued in today’s employment market, universities such as King’s College London, University College London, the University of Birmingham, but also the University College Roosevelt, and Leiden University College are integrating the liberal arts into new programs designed to foster undergraduate research and more interactive approaches to teaching and learning.
